Korean developer of unique Application Streaming software
 poised to expand Internationally

 
SEOUL ? 10 December 2003 - SoftonNet, one of South Korea?s major software developers, and BSEEN, a world-wide Strategic Business Outsourcing company, announced today that they have signed a Business Partnership Agreement to take SoftonNet?s unique Z!Stream and related products to markets throughout the World.
?Broadband is rapidly becoming ubiquitous, even in our homes, offering all of us the opportunity to communicate in ways that would have been impossible only a year or two ago,? said Dr. Dongho Song, the President of SoftonNet.  ?We have taken advantage of this opportunity to develop our Z!Stream product.? 
Z!Stream uses broadband connections to enable high-speed interactive streaming communication between a user device, be it a PC or a Mobile or other post-PC device, and a suitably equipped Server.  The Applications of such high-speed interactive communications are almost unlimited. 
Dr. Song quoted, as an example, the use of Z!Stream to revolutionize the way in which we access standard office applications such as word processing or financial spreadsheets.  ?Now we do not need to spend time and money loading these programs onto our own devices, with all the problems of keeping them updated, but instead we will access a Server and use only that part of the program that we need for our current task.  The Server may be a Corporate facility, but in many cases it will be a publicly accessible ASP and we will pay for the Server resident software on the basis of usage?.
Ms. Azita Nader, the Chief Executive Officer of BSEEN, commented, ?We were attracted by Z!Stream because it is not modeled on a typical dumb terminal accessing an intelligent Server configuration, a system that many users do not like for a number of reasons of which privacy and security are major concerns, but rather Z!Stream allows small parts of the program to run on the client platform and the actual word processing, for example, is accomplished on the user?s own client and the output is stored on his own hard disc.?
